What this site is
#PhysEd Search is a free directory of pre-built X/Twitter search shortcuts for the physical education teaching community. You can browse and use every search feature without creating an account or telling us anything about yourself.
If you sign in with Google
Signing in is optional, and exists only to power the favorites and recent-activity features. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. We use them to identify your account and nothing else. We never see your Google password.
What we store as you use the site
If you’re signed in, we store which tags you favorite and which tags you’ve recently used, so those features work. Separately, we keep site-wide counters of how often the community hashtag shortcuts are clicked — these are anonymous totals not connected to any person, signed in or not.
Tag suggestions
If you submit the “Suggest a tag” form, we store what you type. The email field is optional; if you provide it, we use it only to reply about your suggestion.
Cookies
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. There are no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, and no third-party trackers on this site.
Who we share your data with
No one, with two infrastructure exceptions: the site runs on Vercel (hosting) and stores data with Neon (database), which process data on our behalf to operate the site. We never sell your data, and we never share it for advertising.
External links
Search tags open results on X.com, and some resources link to other sites. Once you leave #PhysEd Search, those sites’ own privacy policies apply.
Deleting your data
Email physedsearch@gmail.com from the address on your account and we’ll delete your account and everything tied to it — favorites, recent activity, and sign-in records. The same address works for any privacy question.
Children
This site is intended for educators. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
